1^st Annual Hats & Handbags Mothers Tea

Mocha Moms, Inc. is a support group for stay-at-home mothers of color who make their families and service to the community their first priorities.  We support strong marriages, families, and neighborhoods.  We are a national organization with 96 chapters across the country, representing over 3500 members and families.  Mocha Moms, Inc. was incorporated in 1999 and received 501 (c) (3) non-profit status in January 2002.

The Alexandria chapter’s activities are consistent with our national organization’s goal of supporting stay-at-home mothers and the communities in which we live.  Community service and outreach is a key part of Mocha Moms, Inc.  Our chapter participates in various community service projects each year.  Our recent projects have included: school supplies for at-risk children and “Adopt-a-Family” programs.

On May 15, 2005 we will be hosting our “1^st Annual Hats & Handbags Mothers Tea” to celebrate motherhood, attract new members and bring awareness to the activities of our membership and the causes we serve.  By increasing our membership we will amplify the impact of the work we do to improve the lives of those in need. Therefore, we would like to request your financial and/or in-kind support for this event. 

As a contributor your company will be acknowledged based on your level of giving. Please see attached for more information on how you can participate as a cash sponsor or in-kind donor. It will be greatly appreciated if you can help in any way.

Tea Presenting Sponsor              $500

• Prominent acknowledgment on all printed materials as presenting sponsor (invitations, programs, tickets, etc.), if received before printing.
• Insert of promotional item and/or literature in goodie bag.
• Prominent advertisement and link to your business on the Alexandria Mocha Moms Website for six months.
• Verbal acknowledgement during event announcements.
• Four tickets to the 1^st Annual Hats & Handbags Mothers Tea.

     Hat Sponsor                         $300

• Acknowledgment on all flyers & programs.
• Insert of promotional item and/or literature in goodie bag.
• Logo placement and link to your business on the Alexandria Mocha Moms Website for four months.
• Verbal acknowledgement during event announcements.
• Two tickets to the 1^st Annual Hats & Handbags Mothers Tea.

Handbag Sponsor                   $100

• Acknowledgment on programs. 
• Insert of promotional item and/or literature in goodie bag. 
• Link to your business on the Alexandria Mocha Moms Website for two months.
• One ticket to the 1^st Annual Hats & Handbags Mothers Tea.

In-Kind Sponsors are also needed for the Silent Auction and to offset various event related expenses (i.e. printing, catering, flowers, and etc.)
